Career Opportunity: Computerized Maintenance Manager System (CMMS) Administrator

Position Summary

The CMMS Administrator for Fostoria will be involved in many facets of the Processing maintenance department. This individual will assist the Processing maintenance department with Inputting asset information, managing work order tracking, equipment histories, preventative maintenance (PMs) and predictive maintenance programs. The CMMS administrator will assist with entering work order information and recording completed work along with being involved with providing inventory and parts availability information to the maintenance team. This individual will work closely with the maintenance manager to find ways to improve accuracies and increase efficiencies of maintenance work. A key role will be working with tracking and analyzing maintenance data as well as projects. The CMMS administrator will need to be able to gather and present data from the Processing division's various computer systems. Major accountabilities include:

  • Operates and maintains the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). The system controls maintenance inventory, maintenance scheduled work orders, maintenance machine history, critical spares, cycle counts, test data
  • Process work orders and collected data
  • Designs and produces the many different graphs/charts/check sheets/notices as required
  • Filing of maintenance documents
  • Maintain maintenance's reference library
  • Operates and maintains the lubrication program for Processing PM’s
  • Enter equipment drawings into CMMS system
  • Installation of proper identification on all information storage cabinets/drawers/shelving/racking etc.
  • Train maintenance personnel on CMMS inventory control system
  • Train maintenance personnel on generating work orders from the CMMS system
  • Follows Environmental Management System procedures to prevent pollution, improve the Charter Steel environmental performance, and more than meet the legal environmental regulations
  • Document and report maintenance hours and overtime
  • Operate the Oracle purchasing program
  • Maintain electronic communication boards
  • Greet and welcome visitors as needed
  • Maintain records and files for safety, environmental, and general operations

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Suite
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and mechanical and electrical terminology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with hourly and management employees
  • Previous work experience that required attention to detail
