Position Summary
Successfully develops and lead a global sales and marketing organization that drives strongly profitable business growth and excellent customer service, across new and existing product lines. Develops and implements commercial growth plans in new geographic and product markets. Identifies opportunities for product line extensions and new product lines, consistent with the Charter Automotive mission to be the global market leader in cold-formed steel automotive parts for targeted niche applications. Major accountabilities for this position include:
- Develop the company's strategic sales objectives. Deliver profitable sales growth of current product lines consistent with strategic plans.
- Identify new product and market opportunities that suggest strong potential for profitable growth. Provide market data and organizational support to the Division Controller for development of successful new product business cases.
- Develop and successfully implement sales and marketing plans to achieve penetration and growth targets for existing and new product lines
- Price the company's products to meet division profitability objectives and the competitive criteria. Develop programs that ensure sustainable and acceptable levels of profitability in volatile market environments
- Develop aggressive marketing plans that communicate effectively and clearly with our targeted global customers
- Feed timely, relevant and actionable global market intelligence to the rest of the organization to facilitate effective decision-making
- Sales forecasting and modeling to drive business and project forecasting
- Develop and manage the annual budget for the Sales & Marketing department
Minimum Qualifications
- Four year undergraduate degree
- Five to ten years of automotive component sales experience with a proven record of success and revenue growth
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong cross-cultural adaptability and international business experience
- Must have a presence appropriate to calling upon all levels of key accounts
- Strong verbal, written, presentation and negotiating skills
- Strong project management skills
