Career Opportunity: Asian Business Manager

Position Summary

Commission all plant and equipment for a start-up operation and lead a factory team to achieve the company's Asian business objectives through the effective development and deployment of policies, systems, procedures, capital equipment, operating infrastructure and human resources. Once the facility is operational, the role includes continued day-to-day management and oversight of the manufacturing plant.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to live in China from project initiation through deployment and until local Chinese personnel demonstrate the ability to manage day-to-day operations in a manner the meets or exceeds Charter's Asian business requirements
• Bachelor's degree in operations management, international business or related field and five to ten years minimum experience working in China
• Demonstrated success in manufacturing plant planning and start-up in China, including building an organization and culture capable of meeting day-to-day customer demand requirements
• Demonstrated ability to build and develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers
• Minimum 10 years Automotive Operations and/or Supply Chain experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience in leading multi-functional teams at various levels throughout the organization
• Mandarin and English language proficiency
• Ability to travel up to 30%
